- Motorbike (automatic or manual): your home licence that covers motorbikes, plus an International Driving Permit (IDP) with the motorcycle category (A), or an Indonesian SIM C.
- Car: your home car licence plus an IDP with category B, or an Indonesian SIM A.
- A car licence does not cover a motorbike, not even a small automatic one.
- Get the IDP in your home country before you travel. It cannot be issued in Bali.
- Police checks are frequent. Fines for missing documents are commonly reported in the range of IDR 300,000 to 500,000, and your insurance can be void. Rules and fines may change.
When you send a request you confirm you hold the right licence, and the owner checks your documents at pickup. Without them the owner may refuse to hand over the vehicle.
